Job Description

We are looking for a Data Governance professional to structure processes, policies, and standards related to corporate data management, ensuring quality, traceability, compliance, and the proper use of the organization's information.

The professional will be responsible for data cataloging initiatives, defining corporate standards, metadata management, documentation of retention and purging policies, and will work in partnership with business areas, data engineering, analytics, and information security.

Key :

  • Lead Data Governance initiatives at a corporate level.
  • Administer and evolve the corporate data catalog.
  • Define and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata structures.
  • Document and disseminate governance policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain data retention, archiving, and purging policies.
  • Define standards for naming, modeling, documentation, and data usage.
  • Ensure traceability (Data Lineage) of key data assets.
  • Support data quality initiatives by defining metrics and monitoring indicators.
  • Work with business areas to define Data Owners, Data Stewards, and for data domains.
  • Promote the adoption of governance practices in data and analytics projects.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance requirements, including LGPD.
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of access controls and data classification.
  • Conduct governance maturity assessments and propose evolution plans.
  • Support internal and external audits related to data management.
  • Develop training and awareness actions regarding governance and data culture.
  • Work together with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and Data Architecture teams to implement governance guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Data Governance.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with data catalogs, metadata, and data asset management.
  • Experience in drafting corporate policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of data quality, data lineage, and metadata management concepts.
  • Experience in defining data retention and purging processes.
  • Knowledge of LGPD and data protection principles.
  • Ability to interact with technical and business areas.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • "Hands-on" profile, with the ability to act practically in the implementation and of governance processes, not limited to defining guidelines and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Knowledge and administration of Unity Catalog.
  • Experience in implementing Data Governance in Data Lakehouse environments.
  • Experience in Data Quality Frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture, Data Mesh, and Data Products.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
