Job detail for Assistant Professor of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the George Washington University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry beginning as early as Fall 2027. The search is open to all areas of inorganic chemistry broadly defined, with areas of interest to include materials, environmental science and application, synthesis, heavy metals, AI/machine learning, and radionuclides. The Department has teaching needs in our graduate and undergraduate programs, including emphasis on Environmental and Green Chemistry courses. Other existing strengths of the department include biomolecular chemistry, synthesis and of small molecules and polymers, materials , and theoretical/computational research that provides significant insight into experimentally relevant systems.
