About the role:

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Developer to join our team and take end-to-end ownership of building a new quality-focused product. Through automation and functional testing, this person will validate a variety of products to provide our customers with a seamless banking experience. As a Senior QA Developer, you will work directly with our product teams and participate in application specification reviews as well as architectural design sessions, providing your perspective on quality. You will also establish test strategies for various features. During your first year, you will develop a deep understanding of how to deliver high-performing software at the speed of development. You will operate in an environment that encourages ownership at all levels, including configuration and monitoring of applications in production.

This is a fully remote position, available to candidates based in Canada.

Our core technologies include:

Java, Selenium Webdriver, Playwright, Claude Code, TestNG, Maven, Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, SQL, REST Assured, OkHttp, SumoLogic, Docker, Kubernetes, Gatling, Linux, etc.

What you will do:

  • Develop test automation at the speed of feature development, using AI tools as well as our functional and performance testing frameworks
  • Use Large Language Models (LLMs) to create feature test plans and internal knowledge bases to facilitate the use of AI tools for automation and deep testing efforts
  • Define custom AI workflows allowing all developers to test new features using existing automation tests, evaluate test failures, and resolve environment issues
  • Execute functional and performance tests by deploying disposable environments on-demand to commission microservices with different versions and configurations, and customize database content
  • Customize, configure, and patch services, and deploy infrastructure and code changes all the way to production
  • Analyze log files and resolve production issues by automating and reproducing them in a non-production environment
  • Collaborate with the QA platform to create feature validation and test automation solutions for your product

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to develop test automation in Java using Selenium/Playwright, using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, with or without coding assistants
  • Experience deploying services in various environments such as Kubernetes, using deployment tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins
  • Ability to improve the efficiency of existing test infrastructure using Docker, Playwright, and headless browser execution
  • Knowledge of log aggregators such as SumoLogic or Kibana, and application monitoring tools such as Honeycomb or Grafana
  • Passion for test automation and delivering high-quality features in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working within an Agile methodology
