In this role you will:
Test all audio elements (sound effects, music, voice-over) to ensure correct playback, timing, triggering, layering, and looping throughout the product.
Verify audio assets align with design requirements, identifying any missing, duplicated, incorrect, or improperly formatted files.
Validate audio integration across gameplay, UI, cinematics, and Wwise systems, including triggers, switches, states, RTPCs, and spatial audio behavior.
Assess audio quality and platform compatibility by checking loudness balance, mix consistency, distortion, clipping, and device-specific performance (headphones, speakers, surround sound).
Document and manage audio defects in Jira, providing detailed reproduction steps, evidence, and appropriate priority/severity classifications.
Collaborate with audio designers and developers to verify fixes, re-test resolved issues, execute full audio regression passes, and maintain test cases and checklists.
What are we looking for:
Experience with audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD and DAWs such as Reaper or Pro Tools, with a strong understanding of audio fundamentals including EQ, compression, gain staging, and spatial audio.
Proven ability to identify audio defects, artifacts, implementation issues, and deviations from creative direction with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience creating and executing test cases, applying QA methodologies, and managing defects throughout the bug lifecycle using tools such as Jira.
Familiarity with game development tools and workflows, including Unreal Engine, Confluence, and testing across PC and console platforms.
Strong written communication, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with audio, design, and engineering teams.
Previous game audio QA or audio production experience is an asset, along with knowledge of interactive audio systems, localization QA, and accessibility standards.
In this role you will:
Test all audio elements (sound effects, music, and voice) to ensure proper playback, synchronization, triggering, layering, and looping throughout the product.
Verify that audio assets meet design requirements by identifying missing, duplicated, incorrect, or improperly formatted files.
Validate audio integration in gameplay, user interface, cinematics, and Wwise systems, including triggers, switches, states, RTPCs, and spatial audio behavior.
Evaluate audio quality and cross-platform compatibility by checking sound balance, mix consistency, distortion, clipping, and performance on different listening devices (headphones, speakers, and surround systems).
Document and track audio issues in Jira, providing detailed reproduction steps, relevant evidence, and appropriate priority and severity classifications.
Collaborate with audio designers and developers to validate fixes, re-test resolved issues, execute full audio regression tests, and keep test documentation, test cases, and checklists up to date.
What we are looking for:
Experience with audio middleware software such as Wwise or FMOD as well as digital audio workstations (Reaper, Pro Tools, etc.), and excellent mastery of audio fundamentals (equalization, compression, gain staging, and spatial audio).
Ability to identify audio defects, artifacts, integration issues, and deviations from creative direction, with great attention to detail.
Experience creating and executing test cases, applying quality assurance methodologies, and managing the bug lifecycle using tools such as Jira.
Familiarity with game development tools and workflows, including Unreal Engine, Confluence, as well as testing on PC and consoles.
