We are looking for a Sr. Sales Representative to join our Rare Diseases team in Medellin.

The position will allow you to develop solid experience in medical education and the promotion of treatments for rare pathologies, demonstrating skills in the use of digital technologies and the ability to hold high-impact conversations. The person is expected to generate authentic, human connections, strengthening valuable relationships with the medical community. The base city will be Medellin, with travel to the Santanderes region 30% of the time.

Key include:

  • Promote and maximize sales of Amgen products in the assigned territory.
  • Visit and follow up with medical specialists in Endocrinology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, Nephrology, as well as nurses and administrative staff.
  • Execute or manage Rare Disease programs according to the patient journey of key accounts.
  • Proactively collaborate with cluster/territory team members to ensure alignment across the territory and agree on actions with specific accounts and key clients.
  • Develop and implement action plans for the territory and key account plans.

What we expect from you

The professional we are looking for must have acquired the vital knowledge and skills to perform the functions of this position through the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge or its equivalent:

Basic requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in health or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales/promotion in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
  • Sales, promotion, and/or medical detailing for high-cost products in rare diseases, endocrinology, neurology, and/or ophthalmology.

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience managing other brands in Rare Diseases.
  • Knowledge of the industry and medication access systems for Rare Diseases.
  • Implementation of marketing plans with the necessary actions for the work area.
  • Client management and program follow-up.
  • Planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication.
  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office.
