Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a motivated and collaborative HR Business Partner to support our sector’s people strategy and operational goals. With a workforce of over 1,900 employees across more than 10 locations, this is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives and help drive business success across the organization.
In this role, you will partner to support HR programs, employee relations, talent initiatives, and organizational effectiveness efforts. You will help implement HR strategies, support key projects, and promote best practices that align HR priorities with business needs. This role will also provide on site support as needed by the site HR Manager.

Essential Functions:
- Support HR transformation and process improvement projects across multiple sites and an international location.
- Prepare monthly HR data analytics reports and respond to ad hoc data requests from leadership.
- Use analytics, AI, and automation tools such as Excel, Power Automate, and HRIS systems to support data-driven decisions and improve HR operations.
- Help develop and implement scalable HR solutions that support employee engagement and business objectives.
- Identify organizational challenges, recommend improvements, and support change management initiatives.
- Maintain and improve HR processes, systems, and tools, including SharePoint, Teams, and PeopleSoft, to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders to help strengthen team performance and effectiveness.
- Contribute to HR and business projects, including cross-functional and global initiatives.
- Ability to work independently with regular direction and guidance on non-routine assignments requiring sound judgment, ownership, and initiative.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience supporting HR transformation initiatives and special projects in complex, multi-site, matrixed environments.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills; be self-directed, proactive, and possess good communication skills
- Ability to work as a contributing member of a team as well as operate independently
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and to organize workload to assure that short timelines are met given frequent interruptions
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office applications, and automation tools.
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using data and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in defense, manufacturing, or similarly complex industries preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to connect day-to-day issues to broader business objectives.
- the ability to develop or champion new concepts
- Geographically mobile for continued career growth preferable.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the NYC area is $67,000 - $124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
