About This Role

The Senior Manager, Europe Medical Strategy and Execution supports the implementation of strategic and operational priorities across the EU Medical organization. The role acts as a key operational partner to the EU Data Generation, Medical Strategy & Pipeline Readiness Lead, driving organizational effectiveness, business planning, governance, and cross-functional execution across the region. The incumbent serves as a central point of coordination between EU Medical Region, affiliate Medical teams, Global Medical, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of key objectives. The role is responsible for project management, performance tracking, budget coordination, leadership communications, and operational excellence initiatives across EU Medical. The role also provides operational support for regional data generation, pipeline readiness, and patient access initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead project management and execution of EU Medical strategic priorities, coordinating key regional initiatives and tracking actions, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Provide operational support for regional data generation and medical research initiatives, including tracking milestones, budgets, and deliverables and supporting governance and reporting of registries and RWE programs.
  • Support launch readiness planning and tracking for priority pipeline assets, ensuring effective coordination with regional, affiliate, Global Medical, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate implementation and oversight of Patient and Healthcare Support Programs (PHSPs) in collaboration with affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders, supporting reporting, best-practice sharing, and operational consistency across EU countries.
  • Serve as a point of contact between EU Medical, affiliates, Global Medical, and cross-functional teams, facilitating effective information flow, communication, and alignment across the organization.
  • Coordinate business planning, metrics, and reporting activities, including EU Medical dashboards, KPIs, annual goal tracking, business reviews, and leadership reports and presentations.
  • Support regional budget planning and financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, AOP planning, quarterly financial reviews, and monitoring expenditures related to strategic initiatives.
  • Support operational excellence, governance, and compliance activities, including implementation of SOPs and governance processes, identification of improvement opportunities, and alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Support EU Medical organizational effectiveness by coordinating leadership meetings, governance reviews, workshops, congress-related planning, and communication activities.
  • Manage ad hoc Medical projects and other strategic and operational initiatives as business needs require.

You are comfortable coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously and maintaining visibility across timelines, budgets, deliverables, risks, and stakeholders in a complex, highly matrixed environment.

You are an effective communicator and stakeholder manager who can connect regional, affiliate, global, and cross-functional teams and influence without formal authority. You combine attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and are comfortable working independently while maintaining close alignment with senior stakeholders.

You bring a continuous improvement mindset and actively look for opportunities to strengthen processes, governance, and organizational effectiveness. You embrace innovation and digital solutions and can adapt effectively as priorities and business needs evolve.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree such as an MSc, PharmD, MBA, PhD, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, Medical Excellence, Strategy & Execution, Project Management, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting regional or global Medical organizations and complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs operations, governance, and compliance processes.
  • Experience in project and portfolio management, including tracking milestones, risks, deliverables, and multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Experience with budget planning, forecasting, performance reporting, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Understanding of data generation, RWE, patient support programs, and launch readiness processes.
  • Strong organizational, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, with fluency in English.
