For our location in Haarlem, we are looking for a: Cell Biology Lab Analyst

Welcome to our team

Our lab department consists of various laboratories (the Analytical Lab, the Live Virus Vaccines Lab, and the Microbiological Lab) and a Quality-Control support department. Reporting to the Manager of the QC Live Virus Vaccines Laboratory, as a cell biology analyst, you are responsible for, among other things, the correct and timely execution of prescribed tests and analyses on samples of, for example, locally produced and imported products and materials.

About the position

As a Cell Biology Lab Analyst, you contribute daily to the quality of our products. You do this by performing routine and non-routine analyses using a wide range of analytical techniques, such as cell cultures, cell culture infections, CPE-based assays, and various other cell biological techniques. The emphasis will be on cell culture. As a Cell Biology Lab Analyst, you contribute daily to the quality of our products. You do this by performing a variety of routine chemical analyses using a wide range of analytical techniques. In addition, you will serve as the first point of contact and coordinator for the lab analysts in the team.

**Tasks and **

• Performing (non-)routine cell biological analyses on pharmaceutical products, mainly vaccines, in accordance with standard operating procedures, GMP guidelines, and legislation. The techniques used include cell culture and infections.

• Interpreting test results against pre-established specifications.

• Evaluating and reporting deviant results.

• Checking analytical results of colleagues for (GMP) correctness, completeness, and accuracy.

Your profile

• You have at least a completed MLO 4 education in Life Science in the direction of biology, microbiology, biotechnology, or biomedical.

• Several years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry (GMP) is a plus.

• Experience with (cell) biological techniques, in particular cell culture, is required.

• Proactive, flexible, critical, and stress-resistant.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and sufficient in English.

• You are a true team player, patient, very accurate, and able to work with focus.

• Independent, solution-oriented, and able to handle varying workloads.

• No 9-to-5 mentality.
