Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join a team working at the heart of Equity / Equity Derivatives activities, in an international and demanding environment.
You will work primarily with SOPHIS, a benchmark software package in market finance, in contact with Front Office users and IT teams.
Your role
Within the team, you will participate in the evolution and smooth operation of the tools used for Equity activities:
- Gather and analyze the needs of Front Office users;
- Draft business requirements and functional specifications;
- Participate in solution design with IT teams;
- Understand and challenge issues related to the product and trade lifecycle;
- Prepare test plans and test cases, then perform functional and integration testing;
- Analyze incidents and support users;
- Participate in production monitoring and the evolution of the SOPHIS software package;
- Interact with the various teams in the Front-to-Back-to-Risk chain.
Professional English, both spoken and written, is essential in an international context.
Why this opportunity?
Because it can be a real career accelerator at the start of your career: you will gain expertise in Front Office Equity activities, understand a complex market IT chain, and build skills on SOPHIS, while working in contact with experienced business and IT teams.
This is a great opportunity for a profile that already possesses the fundamentals of market finance and wishes to gradually become a specialized Front Office BA.
Qualifications
You hold a Master's degree (engineering school or Master's in Computer Science).
We are primarily interested in your understanding of market finance and your ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
You have 1 to 3 years of experience, including internships/work-study programs, and your background can be varied:
Business Analyst / MOA, Front Office Support, or even a developer wishing to evolve toward a more functional role.
You are familiar with several asset classes and have a good foundation in financial products. Knowledge of Equity / Equity Derivatives is desirable.
You are comfortable with writing functional specifications and understand the interactions between applications and information systems.
Knowledge of SQL is mandatory.
Knowledge of SOPHIS is not essential but is a plus.
Additional Information
- Tailor-made professional paths (career development, adapted training, mentoring, etc.);
- The choice of your mission and personalized support throughout your career;
- Evolving in an environment where learning is encouraged: certifying training, e-learning, meetups, coding competitions, development paths, etc.;
- Being part of communities of experts who share their knowledge and experience within our centers of competence;
- A friendly environment with numerous festive events (annual party, seminars & teambuilding, lunches, and afterworks, etc.);
