We are looking for a Development Engineer to develop new, innovative products for animal identification.

As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for creating new and innovative products from ideation through to .

Your include modifying and improving existing products, and you are expected to establish and maintain subcontracting relationships to increase execution capacity.

You will handle issues associated with approval requests. You will keep technical documentation up to date and be actively involved in monitoring technological developments regarding competitor products and processes.

The Development Engineer is expected to propose solutions to reduce time-to-market, development time, production time, and costs.

You will participate in the product approval process for new products.

The position involves frequent interaction with various departments across the group (Purchasing, Production, , Quality, etc.).

Key requirements

• Mechanical and/or plastics engineer
• 5 to 10 years of experience in an R&D department, ideally in high-volume production
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including parallel subcontractors
• Experience in multi-material product development (plastic, metal, glass, etc.)
• Experience in a multicultural company
• Experience in technical product specifications and solution requests
• Excellent technical skills with a desire to delve into details to meet customer needs
• Comfortable with FMEA, Functional Analysis, Lean, 8D
• Experienced in CAD (ideally Solid Edge)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• French and technical English

Advantages

Knowledge of various processes: plastic injection, aluminum die casting, machining, coatings, mechanical assemblies (e.g., handheld tools), kinematics

Knowledge of primary packaging development, ergonomics, environmental impact

Knowledge of materials: plastics, metals

Experience in marking, hot stamping, engraving

Experience in high-volume molding

Experience in TPU molding

Experience in the agricultural or animal health sector

Personal Characteristics
