About This Role
As the Data Generation & Patient Services Lead, you will define and execute the (BIR) medical evidence-generation and patient services strategies across current and future therapeutic areas. You will lead regional evidence-generation programs, including real-world evidence, registries, outcomes research, investigator collaborations, and clinical trials, while ensuring alignment across BIR affiliates and global functions.
You will identify evidence gaps and challenges across the patient journey, ensuring that regional HTA, reimbursement, market access, regulatory, and clinical adoption requirements are incorporated into global development and launch strategies. You will also shape patient services strategies that address clear unmet needs and deliver meaningful value to patients throughout their disease journey. As a strategic partner to Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Value & Access, and Country Medical teams, you will influence asset development, evidence priorities, pipeline readiness, and lifecycle management across BIR.
What You’ll Do
- Drive the BIR data-generation strategy by partnering with Country Medical teams and cross-functional partners to anticipate evidence needs and develop integrated evidence plans supporting value demonstration, HTA/JCA requirements, market access, and regional regulatory expectations.
- Translate emerging reimbursement, healthcare policy, and stakeholder requirements into evidence-generation, development, and launch strategies.
- Lead pipeline medical readiness for priority assets and indications from an evidence-generation and patient services perspective, ensuring BIR requirements are incorporated into global development, evidence-generation, and launch strategies.
- Define and advance the BIR patient services strategy, ensuring programs address clear unmet medical needs and deliver meaningful value across the patient journey.
- Drive affiliate pipeline readiness, regional collaboration, and capability building through coordinated planning, launch readiness assessments, best-practice sharing, and development of common evidence-generation and patient services solutions across BIR.
- Establish governance and oversight for regional research investments and evidence-generation programs, ensuring execution excellence, milestone achievement, budget management, and impact measurement.
- Identify evidence gaps across therapeutic areas and the patient journey and translate them into regional evidence priorities and recommendations for global development and lifecycle management.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, academic institutions, scientific societies, and research networks to advance scientific leadership and innovation.
- Provide oversight of BIR Medical strategic priorities and execution across therapeutic areas in Evidence Generation and Patient Services, monitoring progress against objectives and driving alignment across affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders.

You can translate complex scientific insights, evidence needs, and healthcare-system requirements into actionable strategies that support development, patient access, launch readiness, and lifecycle management.
You are highly effective in global matrix organizations and can influence without formal authority, connecting country, regional, and global stakeholders around shared priorities. You communicate with credibility across different audiences, including senior executives, external experts, scientific societies, and cross-functional partners.
You combine strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. You are highly organized, embrace innovation and digital solutions, and actively seek modern approaches to evidence generation and patient services that can improve execution and patient outcomes.
Required Skills
- MD, PhD, PharmD, or another advanced degree in Life Sciences required.
- 12+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry experience.
- Significant leadership experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Research, Evidence Generation, or related functions.
- Proven experience developing and executing multinational evidence-generation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Medical Affairs research, Health Outcomes Research, and Health Technology Assessment.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement, market access, and stakeholder environments across the region.
- Experience supporting pipeline readiness, launch excellence, and lifecycle management across multiple assets and/or therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrated success working within global and regional matrix organizations and influencing without formal authority.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Fluency in English and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
