Use AI to assess how you fit
Product Owner
As a Product Owner at Nmbrs, you connect product vision, user needs, and technology. You ensure that our product team sets the right priorities and works on solutions that truly help entrepreneurs and accountants move forward. With your experience in product development, you move effortlessly between UX, business, and technology. Together with developers, designers, testers, and stakeholders, you work on the further development of our product and explore how, among other things, AI can contribute to more value for our users.
Time to grow. Time to thrive.
We are Nmbrs. We create smart business software that removes unnecessary complexity for SME entrepreneurs and the professionals who support them. Nmbrs brings together four established product organizations—Payroll, Accounting, Invoicing, and Reporting—with teams in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Portugal.
We are one brand with a shared ambition, while continuing to work from the expertise and strength of our own organizations. We join forces where it makes sense and keep teams, expertise, and decision-making close together.
For this position, you will work at Nmbrs Invoicing in Eersel. You will work closely with your direct colleagues at this location and with our colleagues in Portugal, while simultaneously being part of the broader Nmbrs organization.
Your role
As a Product Owner, you are the pivot between the product team, stakeholders, and users. You ensure that everyone is looking in the same direction: from the product vision and high-level roadmap to the concrete user stories that the development team picks up.
Our product team consists of developers, designers, and testers in the Netherlands and Portugal and works according to Scrum, with two-week sprints. You work closely with them during, among other things, sprint planning, refinement, and sprint reviews. AI plays an increasingly important role in this: both as an opportunity within our product and as a tool in the way we work.
Specifically, you will:
-
Determine and monitor the product vision and roadmap together with the product team and ensure they align with the goals of Nmbrs Invoicing.
-
Translate customer feedback, market insights, and data into a sharply prioritized backlog and prioritize features and improvements based on impact for the user.
-
Switch between UX, business, and technology to arrive at the right product choices and translate these into concrete, actionable user stories.
-
Work closely with developers, designers, testers, and stakeholders during sprint planning, refinement, and sprint reviews.
-
Identify where AI can further help our product and our users and deploy AI tools to, for example, analyze data faster, explore ideas, and accelerate processes.
Your impact
With your work, you ensure that our product team focuses on what delivers the most value for our users and our organization. You bring different perspectives together and translate user needs, data, and business objectives into clear choices for the product.
For example, when there are multiple requests, improvements, and new features on the backlog, you help determine what deserves attention first. You substantiate those choices with data and the expected impact for users, so that the team can work in a focused manner on improvements that really matter.
In addition, you help us look ahead. You identify developments in the market and investigate how new possibilities, including AI, can improve our product and our way of working. In this way, you contribute not only to what we build today, but also to the further development of Nmbrs Invoicing.
Your profile
You are an experienced Product Owner who easily switches between the big picture and the details needed to help a development team move forward. You connect different disciplines and stakeholders, make well-founded choices, and feel at home in a rapidly changing SaaS environment.
-
You have 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably within a SaaS environment.
-
You move effortlessly in the triangle of UX, business, and technology and have strong communication skills to connect different teams and stakeholders.
-
You can zoom out and see the big picture, but also prioritize concretely and make choices at a detailed level. You use data to substantiate your decisions.
-
You have experience with Scrum/Agile working and tools such as Jira or similar tools.
-
You know how to use AI tools smartly, for example, to analyze data faster, enrich backlogs, explore ideas, or accelerate processes.
You don't have to check every conceivable box. Do you recognize yourself in the role and do you think you can make an impact? Then we would love to hear from you.
