We are looking for a motivated third or fourth-year student in microbiology/biochemistry/process technology!

Welcome to our team
The TCB department is an essential hub in our organization. This department focuses on the production of mainly viral antigens in roller bottles and single-use bioreactors. The team works closely with other departments within the company to achieve the set goals.
Your main task consists of independently and accurately performing the most common activities required to produce the antigens. You will work according to detailed daily schedules, monitor quality, recognize deviations, and report them in a timely manner.
Your internship assignment
As an intern, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing media used for culturing cells and viruses and for inactivation.
- Producing viral antigens and monitoring biological culture processes in roller bottles and bioreactors.
- Identifying deviations and malfunctions regarding processes, equipment, and safety.
- Being deployed on the most common USP and DSP steps within the department (USP: cell startup, cell passage, infection, both in roller bottles and bioreactors. DSP: various methods of virus harvesting, sonication, inactivation, concentration, and purification techniques).
- Assisting and supporting problem analysis from raw material to finished product and solving these, using MPS techniques such as Scientific Problem Solving or Kaizen.
The described activities form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper onboarding and learning period. On your own initiative or by request from the organization, these can be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks.
What is required
A third or fourth-year BOL-3 or 4 student in microbiology, biochemistry, or process technology who:
- Is available 4 or 5 days per week for a period of 5 to 9 months.
- Has a professional attitude, brings enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, and finds it a challenge to intern in a dynamic, complex environment.
- Wants to work in a production environment.
