Bioprocess Technician

Welcome to our team

In De Bilt, we are looking for enthusiastic Bioprocess Technicians with an eye for detail who want to contribute to an innovative biotech environment. At our production site, we manufacture poultry vaccines used in more than 100 countries. In doing so, we improve animal welfare and strengthen food security worldwide.

For us, it is all about collaboration and growth. You will work in a safe and inspiring environment with colleagues who bring diverse knowledge and experience. This allows you to continue developing yourself while making a direct contribution to a meaningful goal.

About the role

As a Bioprocess Technician, you play an important role in the production process of our vaccines. Together with your colleagues, you will work on various steps within the process, always adhering to strict GMP and safety guidelines. Your tasks include preparing and filling vaccines into ampoules, correctly freezing and storing products in liquid nitrogen, and operating modern equipment to ensure aseptic quality.

We provide comprehensive internal training so that you can start well-prepared. During this training, you will learn, among other things, how to work aseptically in cleanrooms, handle equipment safely, and work according to established procedures and documentation. This way, you will grow into an all-round employee with varied, meaningful work, where you can continue to learn and develop further.

Tasks and include

  • Production of vaccines in cleanrooms, with strict adherence to GMP regulations and work documents.
  • Actively participating in various process steps, both inside and outside cleanrooms, and working with automated filling machines.
  • Independently resolving minor malfunctions and documenting all actions according to GMP guidelines.
  • Performing crucial support tasks, such as setting up equipment and following cleaning procedures.
  • Identifying and reporting deviations and assessing their impact.
  • Contributing to teamwork and process improvements, with a focus on collaboration and learning from mistakes.
  • Improving work instructions and methods in consultation with the process owner.

Your profile

  • You have a completed MBO level 3 or 4 education, or an HBO education, in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, process engineering, laboratory technology, or similar).
  • Experience in a GMP production environment (such as food, animal feed, or pharmaceuticals) is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You communicate clearly and carefully in Dutch, both orally and in writing.
  • You are motivated to work in a dynamic biotech environment and are open to following internal training and courses.
  • You work accurately according to regulations, can pick up tasks independently, and dare to take initiative when appropriate.
  • You have a flexible attitude and understand that working in a modern production environment sometimes requires adjusting working hours. You are therefore open to working at different times in the future if necessary.

Do you not meet all the points, but do you bring relevant education, motivation, and eagerness to learn? Then we cordially invite you to apply; we highly value diversity, growth, and development.
