Job detail for Director, MarTech & AI Ops
Use AI to assess how you fit
We’re looking for a Director of MarTech & AI Ops to lead the strategy, systems, and data foundation behind Procore’s global marketing organization. In this role, you’ll define and own Procore’s go-forward marketing-technology roadmap end-to-end, bringing the entire stack—systems, global team, and data workflows—to a higher level of maturity. Your primary goal is to turn marketing technology from something we maintain into an engine that reliably moves pipeline, ensuring marketing operates on one clean, governed source of truth.
As a Director of MarTech & AI Ops, you’ll sit where marketing, data, and AI meet, working across Marketing, RevOps, Sales, Data Engineering, Finance, IT, and Security. You’ll sequence our foundation first—standing up clean data, predictable campaign execution, and platform integration—before layering on scoring, measurement, and AI-assisted workflows. Partnering alongside marketing strategy, analytics, and dedicated engineering resources, you will build and run an integrated platform that grounds AI outputs and drives scalable GTM operations. Join us as we redefine marketing technology and operations in a high-growth tech environment—apply today!
This position will report to our Senior Director, Demand Generation and can be based in our Austin, TX or San Francisco Bay Area office on a hybrid model.
What you’ll do:
- Own the architecture, health, and roadmap of the global marketing stack, keeping Marketo and its integration with Salesforce at the core alongside automation, ABM, content, and engagement tools.
- Obtain cross-functional commitments to design and deliver an annual and quarterly MarTech roadmap aligned with the broader GTM tech roadmap
- Stand up and maintain a clean, governed data foundation—including hygiene standards and Marketo–Salesforce data flows—as an ongoing operational discipline.
- Own the AI context layer by building structured, API-ready sources of truth for messaging and persona schemas, and build and run AI-assisted workflows across campaign production, operations, and reporting.
- Help shape an external capability audit and modernization plan, taking full ownership through execution.
- Own the lifecycle and operational flow, establishing the platform logic, stages, hand-offs, SLAs, and execution QA to scale campaign volume efficiently.
- Enable and govern platform and data readiness to optimize scoring, attribution, and measurement by delivering clean data, platform plumbing, and monitoring to partner analytics and data science teams.
- Manage the marketing-operations budget, technology renewals, and build/buy/consolidate/retire decisions across the tech stack based on total cost of ownership and business fit.
- Align marketing’s annual and quarterly targets with sales, tracking delivery and managing external implementation partners and agencies.
- Build, mentor, and lead a distributed global team across campaign production (NA, APAC, EMEA) and platform operations, working alongside a forward-deployed engineer.
What we’re looking for:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations or RevOps, including 7+ years of leadership experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
- Deep technical command and architecture expertise in Marketo and its integration with Salesforce as a system of record.
- Demonstrated proficiency with core marketing systems and data providers, including Salesforce, Marketo, LeanData, Snowflake, ZoomInfo, and Clay.
- Strong understanding of marketing lifecycle, lead scoring, and attribution models, with a proven track record of maintaining data hygiene and quality standards.
- Experience standing up privacy, consent, and data-governance frameworks (such as GDPR and CCPA) that hold up under audit.
- Proven ability to transition a function from routine maintenance to capability-building while guiding cross-functional teams through organizational change.
- Strong strategic judgment regarding AI and automation adoption, with a focus on sequencing technologies on top of a solid data foundation.
- Proven experience leading and developing distributed, global teams across multiple time zones.
