HSE Engineer

Location: Suzano, SP

Act as an HSE Engineer in the HSE department of APU Puran, providing administrative and technical support for various activities related to health, safety, and the environment. Responsible for assisting in the management of environmental permits, monitoring compliance with current legislation, preparing global reports, controlling and monitoring CAPAs, managing change control, and evaluating compliance with Sanofi's global guidelines and standards.

Serve as a support link between HSE teams and other stakeholders, contributing to the planning, execution, and control of activities that ensure regulatory compliance, operational safety, and the environmental sustainability of APU Puran.

Key :

  • Manage and track environmental permits and regulatory documentation, ensuring validity and compliance with competent authorities.

  • Monitor compliance with current health, safety, and environmental legislation, identifying gaps and proposing corrective actions.

  • Prepare and consolidate global HSE reports, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information reported to Sanofi.

  • Control and monitor CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), tracking deadlines, responsible parties, and the effectiveness of implemented actions.

  • Support the management of the change control process, evaluating HSE impacts and ensuring compliance with corporate procedures.

  • Evaluate compliance with Sanofi's global HSE guidelines, standards, and policies, reporting deviations and tracking remediation plans.

  • Support the planning, execution, and handling of internal and external audits and regulatory inspections, preparing necessary documentation and evidence.

  • Perform risk analyses and support the implementation of preventive measures to eliminate or mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.

  • Develop and conduct HSE training and awareness initiatives for employees and service providers.

  • Conduct and support investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and proposing preventive actions.

  • Monitor and analyze HSE performance indicators (KPIs), preparing performance and trend reports.

  • Support the management of solid waste, effluents, and environmental aspects, ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate guidelines.

  • Keep HSE management system documentation up to date, including procedures, records, and compliance evidence.

  • Other activities related to the Occupational Safety function as a whole.

Desirable Requirements

  • Higher education degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields

  • Knowledge of environmental and occupational safety legislation applicable to the pharmaceutical/industrial sector

  • Experience with HSE management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001)

  • Knowledge of risk analysis and incident investigation methodologies

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Advantage: Fluent English

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Proactivity and ability to work in a team
