Job Overview/Purpose
This role is a 12 Month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover Contract
As PMO & Resource Manager, you will lead the PMO and resourcing functions, providing delivery oversight, portfolio governance, and workforce planning to maximise both customer success and business performance.
You will be accountable for delivering departmental KPIs, embedding best practice standards, and driving continuous improvement in support of wider organisational objectives.
Working closely with the Delivery Director, Programme Managers, and Heads of Practice, you will ensure that your team achieves productivity and utilisation goals while contributing to the ongoing success and development of the Delivery function and associated Practices.
This role is ideally suited to a passionate PMO leader who thrives on providing outstanding internal customer service and enabling delivery teams to execute successful customer engagements.
On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with customers, both new and long-standing, as well as colleagues across the business including Pre-Sales, Commercial, Support, and Finance.
Your will include, but will not be limited to, chairing governance boards, driving process adoption and change initiatives, managing resource planning activities, and resolving resourcing escalations.
You will also lead, support, and challenge your direct reports to continuously raise standards, foster a high-performing team culture, and ensure strong governance, process discipline, and operational control across the function.
**Main Duties and **

Lead and develop our PMO, Resource Management, and Project Coordination teams, creating a high-performing function that enables successful project delivery across the business.

Drive resource planning, utilisation, and project profitability, ensuring the right skills are aligned to the right customer engagements at the right time.

Own and continuously improve project delivery frameworks, governance, processes, and tooling to support consistent, scalable, and high-quality outcomes.

Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to manage demand, capacity, delivery priorities, risks, and escalations.

Provide oversight of project financial performance, forecasting, reporting, and portfolio health, using data and insight to support informed decision-making.

Champion operational excellence by establishing meaningful KPIs, dashboards, governance forums, and continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle.

Act as a trusted advocate for project and programme management, supporting strategic opportunities and demonstrating the value strong delivery practices bring to customers and the wider business.
Skills, experience and qualifications

Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams within PMO, resource management, or project delivery environments.

Strong background in project and portfolio governance, with the ability to balance customer outcomes, commercial performance, and operational excellence.

Experience working within a Microsoft Partner, technology consultancy, or professional services organisation delivering cloud and digital transformation projects.

Skilled at building trusted relationships with customers and senior stakeholders, confidently influencing decisions and managing expectations.

Commercially astute, with experience overseeing project financials, forecasting, utilisation, and budget performance.

A natural problem-solver who remains calm under pressure, navigates complexity, and drives positive outcomes when challenges arise.

Highly organised, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement, with the leadership skills to inspire, coach, and develop others.
