LOCATION: Belfast
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £32,576 to £42,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Creative, you'll develop and deliver distinctive campaigns and content that help audiences discover, connect with and value the BBC’s programmes, brands and services in Northern Ireland. Working across broadcast, digital and social platforms, you'll transform insights and ideas into compelling creative work, bringing together strategic thinking and craft expertise to create campaigns that deliver real audience impact.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
You'll join the Creative team, which forms part of a wider Brand department comprising Marketing, Media and Creative teams. Working closely with colleagues across all three disciplines, you'll help shape campaigns and content that connect audiences with BBC NI brands, programmes and services.
YOUR KEY AND IMPACT

Develop and deliver original creative concepts and campaign ideas for BBC Northern Ireland brands, programmes and services across multiple platforms.

Create high-quality promotional content across a range of formats, including video, design, photography, digital assets, social-first and audience-facing campaign materials.

Research, identify and shape compelling content moments and audience insights into effective creative campaigns and promotional assets.

Apply audience understanding, platform expertise and performance learnings to create content that drives engagement and delivers campaign objectives.

Produce and edit creative assets using industry-standard tools, ensuring all work meets BBC editorial, technical and brand standards.

Present ideas to stakeholders, respond to briefs and feedback, and work collaboratively with marketing, media, production and external partners to deliver successful campaigns.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential Criteria
-
Proven creative experience within broadcast promotion, marketing, advertising or a comparable content-led professional environment, supported by a strong portfolio of work.

Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, with experience developing original campaign ideas and creative treatments from brief through to execution.

Excellent production skills across multi-disciplines, including video editing, graphic design, content creation, direction or post-production.

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop and relevant creative tools, with the ability to create high-quality assets for multiple platforms.

Proven ability to present ideas, build effective stakeholder relationships and manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality work to deadline.
Desirable Criteria

Experience creating integrated campaigns across television, digital, social and on-demand platforms.

Strong understanding of contemporary media platforms, audience behaviours, emerging content formats and current creative trends, including responsible use of generative AI.

Experience creating social-first and platform-native content, including reels, short-form video, YouTube assets and thumbnails, branded graphics, motion design and trend-led content tailored to different audience segments and platforms.

Experience applying brand guidelines, graphic systems, subtitles and motion graphics across campaign assets.

Knowledge of BBC brands, audiences and services, particularly within Northern Ireland.
