Overview
You will join the Credit Officer International Network APAC team at Intesa Sanpaolo and provide independent credit assessment for Corporate and Structured Finance transactions across APAC. You will analyse counterparties, financial performance, financing structures and repayment capacity, challenge key assumptions and recommend appropriate risk mitigants. You will also monitor exposures and support sound, timely credit decisions in line with the Bank’s policies and risk appetite.
What you'll be doing
The key will be:
- Review Corporate and Structured Finance proposals across APAC, including new transactions, refinancings, amendments and waivers
- Assess counterparties, financial performance, cash flows, financing structures, repayment sources, covenants and security packages
- Evaluate business profiles, sponsors, ownership, contractual frameworks, industry and regulatory risks
- Review financial models, business plans and sensitivities, challenge assumptions and benchmark credit metrics
- Prepare credit memoranda highlighting strengths, key risks, mitigants and independent recommendations
- Verify proposal completeness, internal ratings, risk indicators, group exposure, country risk availability and approval authorities
- Liaise with APAC Business Units and Head Office Underwriting Units to support the credit decision process and recommend risk mitigants
- Support annual reviews and monitor exposures, identifying deterioration risks and tracking corrective actions
Who we are looking for
If you want to turn your passion into a career and you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:
- At least 6 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, structuring, or other credit risk-related roles within international banking institutions is required
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline
- Corporate and/or Structured Finance credit underwriting, including financial statement, cash flow and repayment-capacity analysis
- Assessment of business profiles, ownership structures, industry risks, financing terms, covenants and security packages
- Financial model review, forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Knowledge of APAC markets, cross-border lending, country risk, banking regulation, credit policies and risk governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- English at proficient level, written and spoken
- Preferred: CFA, FRM, postgraduate studies in Finance, Accounting or Structured Finance, or an additional relevant APAC or Italian language.
