Designer, Mens Underwear - Tommy Hilfiger
The Designer position is a key role in the design and development of product from building initial concept to completion of development. This includes having the understanding of numerous design aesthetics and contributing viable designs to the necessary brands.
What You'll Do:

Takes direction from Senior Design leads and expands on direction/inspiration. It is important that the Designer have a voice and vision of their own

Takes trend and market research and works innovative designs into brand appropriate styles

Create repeat patterns, textile designs, and graphic motifs that align with the brand’s creative direction and seasonal collections

Prepare artwork and pattern files for production, ensuring designs are technically accurate and production-ready

Analyzes past best sellers and worst sellers for future development

Reviews SKU plans to formulate needed design work for upcoming season

Develop digital sketches and translate creative concepts into cohesive, commercially relevant collections

Reviews pattern work with the Raw Materials team

Develops new trims, waistbands and buttons

Utilizes Illustrator/Photoshop to create artwork for trim development

Create and maintain accurate, production-ready Tech Packs in Centric PLM, ensuring all BOM details are clearly documented

Reviews all strike offs needed for NYO approval

Coordinates and prepares new development hand off with the Tech and Design team

Participates in seasonal trend presentation using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint

Collaborate effectively cross-functionally with teams across the organization to ensure alignment and bring designs from concept through execution

Proactively contribute creative ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative solutions to elevate the brand and design process

Other related job functions are at the discretion of the manager as needed

Attend all fittings
-
Coordinating of correct info to PD for line list set up as necessary

Travels to shop the market when applicable, as well as present product to key retailers

Make & present compelling product presentations to Sales and Cross Functional Teams as necessary
What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree
-
4 to 5 years related experience required. Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, materials, and manufacturing

Independent decision maker and critical thinker, with ultimate decisions made by the Design Lead and or the VP of Design. Daily decisions related to color, fabric, trim and sample check in will be reviewed and or made by the associate and elevated as necessary

Highly creative in design to provide the appropriate amount of newness to drive sales.
Ability to handle multiple seasons & multiple Brands at one time within established deadlines

Must have a good color sense and the ability to put together core and seasonal color palettes for development
-
Detail oriented with good observation traits is necessary

Pay Range:$82,500---$117,100
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
