Overview

We're excited to share this opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced sales leader to join our team. As the RVP, Commercial Sales, you'll lead a team of Commercial Account Executives responsible for driving revenue through new-logo acquisition and expansion, building and inspiring a team of experienced sales executives, and developing a deep understanding of our product, technology, and competitive landscape. You’ll be the one who takes our sales strategy and turns it into daily execution. You'll also have the opportunity to build excellent working relationships with key business leaders, colleagues, and prospects while providing market feedback to our Product team.

We're looking for a builder, a coach, and an operator — someone who has led a high-performing sales team and knows how to execute against a strategy with rigor, not just manage what already exists. You should be willing to roll up your sleeves and lead from the front: going deep into the business, the pipeline, the deals, and the data, and coaching both individual reps and the team as a whole to get better every day.

Who you are:

  • 3–5+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally managing a quota-carrying SaaS or software sales team
  • A track record of leading teams to consistently meet or exceed quota in a complex, new-logo-driven business — mid-market or enterprise experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of value-based, solution selling into Sales, Marketing, Enablement, RevOps, or similar buying committees, and the ability to help reps navigate multi-threaded deals
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS model and the ability to quickly learn new product, technology, and competitive positioning
  • Proven ability to build repeatable, predictable, scalable sales motions — not just manage what already exists
  • Excellent coaching skills and command of a sales methodology that helps your team win, internally and externally, while preserving strong relationships
  • A genuine desire to develop people — someone who inspires their team to perform at a level higher than they thought they could
  • Comfort operating with high accountability and urgency in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Clari, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or a similar sales tech stack
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the number. Drive new-logo acquisition and expansion revenue for the Commercial segment by leading a team of Account Executives to meet and exceed quota.
  • Forecast with rigor. Build and maintain accurate, team-wide pipeline and forecast visibility using Salesforce, Clari, and other tools, and hold the team accountable to disciplined, honest forecasting.
  • Coach the team, not just the number. Lead, inspire, and mentor Account Executives — sharpening their deal strategy, sales methodology, and objection handling so they close more, and close faster.
  • Recruit and retain top talent. Hire, onboard, and develop exceptional sellers as the team scales, and build a culture people want to stay and grow in.
  • Create accountability and urgency. Use metrics and reporting transparently to drive the right behaviors and reward the right outcomes.
  • Get into the deals. Review pipeline, join key customer calls, and help reps navigate multi-stakeholder, value-based sales cycles from qualification through close.
  • Know the product cold. Develop a deep understanding of Seismic's platform, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape, and translate that knowledge into training and enablement for your team.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Sales Enablement to support the full customer journey from evaluation through onboarding.
  • Close the skills gaps. Identify where your team needs to grow and partner with sales enablement to build targeted training and coaching programs.
  • Be the voice of the field. Feed market and competitive insight back to Product and Marketing to help prioritize what will drive more wins.
  • Keep improving the machine. Creatively identify and drive new programs that make the sales organization better, not just bigger.
