The Internal Communications team leads the development and delivery of strategic messaging and campaigns that drive understanding and engagement across the University’s key priorities and programmes. Supporting the delivery of the University’s strategy, we help ensure our internal audiences feel informed, involved and valued. We work with leaders to communicate clearly and consistently, create opportunities for two-way dialogue, and build communication capability across the organisation. Alongside this, we plan and deliver engagement activity for university leadership including the President and Vice-Chancellor’s Office, University Executive Team and Professional Services Leadership Team.
The postholder will be responsible for the line management and direction of a team of internal communications professionals within the Directorate of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment.
They will work with the Head of Internal Communications and other stakeholders in the development and delivery of the University’s internal communications and engagement service and strategy, ensuring the production of dynamic communications and campaigns, and making sure colleagues at all levels are engaged, informed, and receiving consistent messages across the University. This includes playing a leading role in the planning, development and delivery of executive and leadership communications for the President and Vice-Chancellor, University Executive and others.
They will ensure a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement across the team by putting our colleagues and students at the heart of everything we do, and embedding a positive sense of identity, direction, purpose, and community.
