What you'll do As (Senior) Software Engineer – Data at Snke you will help build and scale the data infrastructure that empowers our Research & Development teams to automate the testing and evaluation of medical software using large-scale datasets. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and operating modern data platforms, pipelines, and services that enable efficient data processing and analysis. You will: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms and architectures. Design, develop, ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data. Build, deploy and manage data storage systems and databases, such as Apache Iceberg or MongoDB . Develop,optimizeand enforcedata quality, lineage, compliance, and security controlsacross the system. Writing Servicesfor data ingestion,accessand processing Collaborate with data analysts to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases. Document data models, processes, architectures, and best practices. Contribute to a collaborative and innovative engineering culture while working alongside a talented team at our Munich headquarters What we're looking for A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong experience in data engineering and modern data platform development. Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering best practices. Hands-on experience with Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, and/or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, , and GitHub Actions. Experience building and operating cloud-based solutions, ideally on AWS. Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR or DICOM is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and pragmatic approach to work. A collaborative mindset, excellent teamwork skills, and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth. Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.
