Group Tax is part of Finance and consists of approximately 13 specialists based mainly in Sweden, with additional tax teams in the US, China, and Belgium. The team covers areas such as corporate income tax, VAT, social security charges, and transfer pricing, and works closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners, including tax authorities and advisory firms.
The Transfer Pricing (TP) function itself is a global team of five specialists with responsibility for defining and maintaining the transfer pricing strategy for Volvo Car Group.
What you'll do
You will be part of a global Transfer Pricing team with responsibility for shaping and safeguarding the Group’s transfer pricing strategy in a complex, international environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and play a key role in ensuring a correct, tax-efficient, and consistent application of transfer pricing principles across the Volvo Car Group. The role reports to the Head of Transfer Pricing.
Your will include:
- Working with the process of setting, approving, and testing transfer prices
- Developing and improving processes and systems to reduce complexity in transfer pricing administration using eg AI
- Preparing and maintaining transfer pricing documentation
- Supporting intra-group services and intercompany agreements
- Contributing to cash tax forecasts and business planning
- Performing transfer pricing assessments related to intra-group transactions and business projects
- Supporting and advising on related-party matters in line with the arm’s length principle
What you'll bring
- University degree in Law, Finance, or equivalent
- Several years of experience working with transfer pricing or qualified financial/tax matters (e.g. within a multinational company, tax authority, audit firm, or advisory environment)
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of Accounting and Tax
- Experience working in and leading projects
- Strong business acumen and high integrity
- Excellent communication, argumentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is highly valued.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Meritorious would be experience with SAP, OneStream, Power BI or other analytical tools
- Meritorious would be knowledge of improving and make process more efficient AI
