About the role

Naturesave, proudly part of the Benefact Group, are looking for a Director of Naturesave to lead one of the UK's most distinctive and purpose driven insurance brokers, based in Totnes.

An award winning, green and ethical insurance broker with over 30 years' experience, Naturesave specialises in providing sustainable personal and commercial insurance solutions. With a strong presence in environmental and renewable energy sectors, Naturesave has built a reputation for combining its commercial success with a positive environmental impact.

In leading this business, you'll be responsible for the overall culture, growth, profitability and performance of Naturesave, working closely with senior stakeholders across the Group to deliver strategy, develop high performing teams and ensure exceptional outcomes for customers, colleagues and partners. You’ll be integral in shaping the future of a fast paced, value driven broker that protects people, communities and the planet, while driving growth, innovation and market leadership.

Whilst this role can be offered remotely, to effectively lead the business, build strong relationships and help shape the future direction of Naturesave, regular presence within our Totnes office will be required, typically multiple times per week.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading the overall performance, growth, profitability and culture of Naturesave, delivering strategic objectives and ensuring the business remains a market leader within the sustainable and renewable energy insurance sectors

  • Developing and executing business plans that drive growth, retention and long term profitability, while identifying new opportunities within existing and emerging markets.

  • Building strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders, whilst championing exceptional client outcomes and service excellence.

  • Leading, developing and inspiring high-performing teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Holding Senior Management Function (SMF) accountability for Naturesave, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, effective risk management and positive client outcomes in line with FCA requirements

What you'll need to have
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Insurance (or equivalent professional insurance qualification).

  • Significant senior leadership experience within the UK insurance market, with a proven track record of delivering commercial growth and business performance.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets and driving operational excellence.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across a broad range of internal and external partners.

  • Comprehensive understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and other legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance sector.

  • Chartered status or advanced professional insurance qualifications.

  • Experience within specialist insurance markets, particularly renewable energy, environmental or sustainability focused sectors.
