About the role
Lead, Pursuits and Proposals Engineer will be responsible for Engineering Pursuits and Proposals and support for tactical communications systems, products and ancillaries for a variety of Australian and International customers across future business growth opportunities and phasing in new business into L3Harris Acquisition and Support programs.
Your work will include the project engineering delivery of allocated bids and proposals as they progress through the capture lifecycle from bid & proposal to award and project phase-in.
You will interface with program, business development, capture and business support functions and specialise in integration of communications products and systems, with the ability to communicate effectively to varying levels of technical understanding and hierarchy, and will be supporting a variety of tasks in this field to support the wider business when required.
What role will involve
- Conduct tasks as allocated through the capture management and engineering lifecycle of bids and pursuits and support technical artifacts, including the understanding of:
- System Specification, Requirements Management, Engineering Plans
- Interface Control, System Subsystem Design Description
- Integration, Test & Evaluation
- Contribute and present to gate review artifacts/milestones (e.g. Gate 0, 1, 2, 3 etc.).
- Ability to construct technical arguments in support of verification and strategy of products/systems to customers.
- Support the business functions through tailoring engineering projects into contractual models.
- Tailor and execute engineering process between major programs and minor pursuits to meet customer needs.
- Develop tailored solutions based on customer requirements/constraints.
- Provide Technical advice to internal and external stakeholders with respect to Requests for Information (RFIs) of the products supported by L3Harris.
- Support the selection of products and accessories to provide customers with optimised system solutions.
- Generate white papers and technical issue reporting for L3Harris systems and products.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia, with a minimum of 8 year prior related experience.
- Experience working in the Defence industry is a preference, though operating within a complex, large international business will also be considered.
- Experience in supporting large scale engineering projects and bids/pursuits.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance (AGSVA NV1).
