About the Role

Our APAC Professional Services team is looking for an Implementation Specialist Team Lead to join our Planning & Scheduling practice. You'll configure and implement Prometheus's Planning, Scheduling, Mobile, STO (Shutdown/Turnaround), and Analytics products for customers across mining, oil and gas, and energy/utilities — working closely with Project Managers, who own scope and schedule, while you own the technical configuration that brings each customer's requirements to life.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for an individual who wants to grow into management. You'll spend time understanding how our customers actually run their operations — how a mine, refinery, or utility plans and executes maintenance — and translate that into system configuration. Most of our team comes from a software background rather than an asset-intensive industry background, so curiosity about the customer's world matters as much as technical aptitude.

Seniority is flexible: we're looking for a technically savvy, process-oriented individual, passionate about building scalable systems and delivering exceptional client outcomes, who can do a great job and ramp up quickly, not necessarily someone who arrives with years of implementation experience under their belt. What matters more is a genuine aptitude for configuration work and comfort engaging directly with customers.

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Implementation Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, technical curiosity, and continuous improvement.

• Provide coaching on technical configuration, troubleshooting, and client communication best practices.

• Support career development through hands-on guidance and training opportunities.

• Configure and implement Prometheus's Planning, Scheduling, Mobile, STO, and Analytics solutions to meet customer requirements, within agreed timeframes and budgets

• Partner with Project Managers and Functional Consultants to translate customer requirements into technical configuration

• Debug and resolve defects, and investigate and rectify customer support issues and system failures

• Document configuration decisions and produce clear reports for internal and customer stakeholders

• Work directly with customers to understand their business processes, challenges, and goals, and configure the system to meet them

• Act as a key point of contact during complex implementations, helping resolve escalations and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Guide the team in maintaining clear, proactive communication with clients and other team members throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Support, Sales and other Professional Services team members on best practice and upcoming features

• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to scope technical requirements and support RFP responses.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing between Implementation Specialists and other departments to ensure a unified understanding of Prometheus Products.

• Ensure client feedback is captured and shared with relevant internal teams for continuous improvement.

• Support the development of internal tools and scripts to automate and simplify configuration tasks.

• Promote consistency in how implementation tasks are executed and documented across the team.

• Encourage adoption of agile practices and iterative delivery where appropriate.

• Occasional travel to customer sites for training or workshops (not a core requirement, but encouraged where it builds a stronger understanding of the customer's operations)

About You

We don't expect you to tick every box below — our current team spans a real mix of backgrounds, and the strongest performers have ramped up quickly from a variety of starting points. That said, you'll ideally bring:

• Experience configuring or implementing enterprise software, ideally in a customer-facing capacity
• SAP experience is a strong plus — alternatively, hands-on plant, asset, or maintenance management experience (including local government or council maintenance environments) is equally valued
• Comfort learning how asset-intensive operations work — mining, oil and gas, or utilities — even without direct industry experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent organisational and time management
• Excellent communication skills — you'll work directly with customers as well as internal teams
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts (variables, functions, scope); SQL/database query experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement for this team
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is just as valued
