Job Description
DocGPT is Ubisoft's internal knowledge assistant platform, presented this year at the Games Developer Conference (GDC) 2026 and deployed across several studios and divisions. Under the hood, ingestion, administration, and integration tools ensure the platform's daily reliability. As the technical lead on these issues, you will define tooling standards and ensure that the growing demand for deployments is absorbed without friction.
What you will do
- Define the architecture of ingestion pipelines and administration tools, balancing robustness, maintainability, and deployment speed.
- Take charge of the reliability of connectors to internal data sources: design error handling, recovery, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Lead the development of the platform's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and its evolution based on the needs of integrating teams.
- Identify bottlenecks in deployment processes and design automations to keep up with the pace.
- Define observability standards: instrumentation, alerts, dashboards.
- Mentor junior and intermediate members on best practices for tooling and software reliability.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the team
- 5+ years of experience in developing tools, data pipelines, or internal platforms in production.
- Proficiency in Python for designing robust backend services: REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask, automation scripts, connectors.
- Proven experience in designing reliable ingestion pipelines: idempotency, error handling, retries, monitoring.
- Strong command of AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM/IRSA, Secrets Manager), Databricks, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Experience with GitOps tools (Flux or Argo CD) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and comfort with ambiguity; good communication with client teams of varied profiles.
