About the role

Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking who are proudly part of the Benefact Group have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Director to join our Community Broking divisional leadership team to run our South Wales Region across 4 locations and 50+ people.

This role can be offered remotely, however regular presence will be needed within our Swansea, Llanelli, Cardiff and St Clears offices.

In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall culture, growth, profitability and performance of Community Broking South Wales. A proactive and experienced leader, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the regional strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives while fostering a high performing, client focused culture.

Working closely with the Managing Director and key senior stakeholders, you will lead regional operations, inspire teams, drive sustainable growth and ensure exceptional outcomes for both clients and colleagues.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading the overall performance, growth, profitability and culture of Community Broking across our South Wales region

  • Developing and delivering the regional strategy and three year business plan in line with wider business objectives.

  • Providing visible leadership and support to Heads of Community Broking (Branch Leaders) within their respective branches, building high performing teams and driving accountability.

  • Acting as a key stakeholder across the business, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Holding Senior Management Function (SMF) accountability for the South Wales Region, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, effective risk management and positive client outcomes in line with FCA requirements

What you'll need to have
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Insurance (or equivalent professional insurance qualification).

  • Significant senior leadership experience within the UK insurance market, with a strong understanding of regional and national market dynamics.

  • Recognised expertise and a strong network within the UK, South West and Wales regional insurance market

  • Proven success in delivering strategic growth, financial performance and operational excellence across multiple locations or business units.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and execute business strategies that deliver sustainable results.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and other legislative requirements relevant to the insurance sector.
