Job Description:

The National Space Test and Training Complex–Orbital (NSTTC-O) Range Control Software (RCS) program operates a mission-critical platform stack across on-premises OpenStack and Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud within a rigorous Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance envelope, and is seeking a senior technical leader to guide and strengthen that infrastructure layer. As the program prepares for the Region 2 data center migration, the Development, Integration, and Test (DevI&T) Integrated Product Team (IPT) seeks an experienced Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to lead platform engineering, coordinate subcontractor delivery, and provide the clear technical direction needed to keep delivery pipelines producing compliant increments and the Authorization to Operate (ATO) defensible without sacrificing strategic oversight.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead platform engineering for the Amazon Web Services GovCloud and OpenStack environment.
  • Direct the infrastructure work supporting the Region 2 data center migration.
  • Build and sustain infrastructure automation and deployment workflows.
  • Establish and maintain delivery pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, and related tools.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, shell scripting, and Python.
  • Integrate security and compliance considerations into platform operations and delivery.
  • Coordinate platform-engineering execution and subcontractor delivery.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed to support program and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience designing, deploying, and sustaining Amazon Web Services GovCloud and OpenStack infrastructure.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems in production environments.
  • Experience deploying, operating, and securing Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration automation using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with shell scripting and Python.
  • Amazon Web Services certification, such as Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect or a role-aligned specialty certification.
  • Certified OpenStack Administrator certification or comparable OpenStack certification.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator or Red Hat Certified Engineer certification.
  • Experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines in Bitbucket, Jenkins, and GitLab.
  • Experience implementing automated security and compliance checks within delivery pipelines.
  • Experience supporting on-premises-to-cloud or data-center migration efforts in regulated environments.
  • Experience with Helm, Argo CD, Packer, or comparable deployment and configuration automation tools.
  • Experience developing automation or operational tooling using Lua.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $117,000-$218,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
