As a Global Risk Analyst, you’ll play an important role in supporting the Group Risk function across the SmartestEnergy Group. Working closely with the Global Risk Manager and wider Global Risk leadership team, you’ll help monitor, analyse and report on key risks across our international operations, while contributing to a consistent global risk management framework, effective governance and robust reporting.
You’ll build broad exposure to energy trading risk, including market, credit, operational and enterprise risks, while gaining experience across strategic risk initiatives, transformation programmes and process improvement. This is a great opportunity to develop your analytical and stakeholder management skills, work collaboratively with teams across the UK, US, Australia and Japan, and build a strong foundation for future career progression within global or regional risk management.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline;

Substantial experience in risk management, wholesale energy trading, financial services, consulting or a quantitative analytical role;

Experience analysing data and producing reports using Excel and other analytical tools;

Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
