SCOPE OF POSITION
The OSUWMC Supply Chain Department supports the medical center’s mission by securing the highest-value products and services necessary for clinical and business operations. We partner with clinicians, staff and suppliers to drive optimal pricing, distribution and utilization. In addition we strive to set the benchmark in providing supply chain value, utilizing best practices to support continuous improvement in patient care. The OSUWMC Supply Chain Department is responsible for all aspects of the health system non-labor expenses, comprising approximately $700M in annual supply, service and capital purchases. OSUWMC Supply Chain department is responsible for all hospital supply functions including:
- Strategic Sourcing
- Purchasing Operations
- Logistics & Distribution
- Accounts Payable
The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. (OSUP) provides outpatient care throughout Central Ohio and the surrounding areas. OSUP is the approved not-for-profit practice plan for The Ohio State University College of Medicine designated by the University Board of Trustees with the goal of improving access to high quality, patient-focused care through the alignment of individual institutional and departmental missions and resource allocation. OSU Physicians, Inc. has approximately 30 offices and clinics incurring approximately $84M in non-labor expenses annually. OSUP has engaged OSUWMC Supply Chain to provide certain procurement, operations, and payment services to OSUP.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required.
- 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, customer service, business management, healthcare or relevant experience preferred.
- Or 3-4 years of experience in supply chain, customer service, business management, healthcare or relevant field
