About the role

The Specialist Field Engineer will work within the Global Field Services team to conduct Installation and Integration to land and maritime platforms as part of the Platforms Integration Team. This team is responsible for supporting pre- and post-sales support to customers in providing functioning communications systems. The role will conduct the installation of communication systems to multiple platform types and provide capability to the operational users.

Working as part of the L3Harris Global Field Services Australia Department, the Specialist Field Engineer with work with Commonwealth Programs, Engineering and International sales teams to provide services for customers.

What role will involve

This Specialist Field Engineer is responsible for supporting the provision of:

  • Installation and testing of land and maritime platforms,
  • support the design of communication systems in land and maritime platforms,
  • integration of L3Harris communication systems to platforms,
  • technical maintenance support,
  • conduct product software upgrades,
  • support to engineering services, and
  • equipment operation and support services

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering recognized by Engineers Australia
  • Field engineering experience with tactical radio equipment with military vehicles, naval platforms and fixed sites
  • Experience working with military tactical radio installation and integration
  • Minimum of 8 years or prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Current Australian NV1 Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Certificate III Technology
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
