In Germany, Amgen is represented by a research site and a sales site. Both locations are in Munich. This vacancy concerns the sales site on Riesstraße.

:

  • Responsibility for revenue targets and the implementation of strategic sales goals in the Cardio/Renal BU
  • Translating national strategic priorities into a clear sales strategy through defined priorities, measurable goals, high execution discipline, and continuous performance management
  • Leading, coaching, and developing regional field sales managers with clear accountability for performance, employee development, and strategy implementation in their regions regarding the achievement of set revenue targets, defined cost budgets, and resources
  • Conducting in-depth revenue, market, customer, and competitor analyses and deriving concrete measures to increase sales performance
  • Responsibility for the continuous development of the sales organization and Sales Excellence, including territory and potential analyses, territory design, customer segmentation, targeting, call planning, and call commitment, as well as efficient resource allocation
  • Initiating and leading change processes within the sales organization and promoting innovative and effective ways of working
  • Proactively identifying and adapting tasks and territory structures to strategic challenges and market conditions
  • Close collaboration within the cross-functional leadership team, particularly with Marketing, Medical, Value & Access, as well as regional and global stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed university degree in natural sciences, economics, or a comparable field, ideally with qualification according to §75 AMG
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience (functional & disciplinary) in the pharmaceutical industry's commercial field force is desirable, ideally including leadership of other managers
  • Detailed knowledge of the German pharmaceutical market as well as market knowledge in the field of cardiology is desirable
  • Experience with modern pharmaceutical field force management tools and Omni-Channel approaches is an advantage
  • Sound experience in Sales Excellence, particularly territory and potential analysis, territory design, targeting, call planning/commitment, and resource allocation, as well as leading change processes is a plus
  • German language skills at least C1 level and English language skills at least B2/B1 level, both written and spoken
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to provide orientation and implement consistently, even in complex or ambiguous situations
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness, confident demeanor, social competence, and strong communication and presentation skills
  • High level of team spirit and integrative thinking as well as a high willingness to travel
