Job Description
As a Director at Ubisoft Montréal, you will oversee the production of marketing video content and in-game sequences that bring our projects to life. In collaboration with product marketing, art, production, and technology teams, you will participate in all stages of content creation, from ideation and in-engine capture to editing and final delivery. You will contribute to the creation of presentation videos, narrative trailers, social media content, and other audiovisual assets for internal and public use.
What you will do
- Develop and direct creative concepts for trailers, presentation videos, social media content, and other marketing assets
- Capture in-game footage and cinematic content using engine-integrated tools and production versions of the game
- Edit and assemble video content by applying techniques of visual storytelling, pacing, and sound integration
- Collaborate with marketing, art, and production teams to ensure audiovisual content aligns with the project vision
- Support the production of content for user testing, milestone presentations, and marketing deliverables
- Provide creative and technical recommendations to improve capture workflows, rendering tools, and production processes
- Collaborate with Snowdrop technical teams to contribute to the evolution of capture and rendering tools
- Participate in the coordination of voice recordings, audio sessions, editing, or motion capture sessions when required
- Manage multiple production priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting deadlines
- Continuously develop your knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes related to cinematic direction
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Experience in creating or editing trailers, gameplay videos, cinematic content, or other audiovisual assets
- Strong understanding of video editing, pacing, composition, and visual storytelling
- Excellent artistic judgment and a strong creative vision
- Interest in developing skills in motion capture and real-time cinematics
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams
- Familiarity with game engines or real-time production environments such as Snowdrop or Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or equivalents
- Portfolio showcasing relevant projects in editing, directing, or audiovisual production
