Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our team! In this role, you will manage, coordinate and oversee the design management and technical delivery of multiple design projects, ensuring quality, compliance, coordination and successful delivery in line with client expectations and project objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing and coordinating the execution of design deliverables across multiple design projects.

  • Overseeing design development, technical documentation, reports, drawings and tender packages.

  • Coordinating design teams across multiple disciplines and ensuring effective resource allocation.

  • Supporting the development of staffing plans, budgets, schedules and resource requirements.

  • Monitoring quality, progress, cost and schedule performance across all design disciplines.

  • Implementing and maintaining design management procedures, standards and best practices.

  • Supporting the development and performance of design team members.

  • Leading design reviews, value engineering workshops, technical coordination and stakeholder meetings.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, codes, standards and client requirements.

  • Coordinating the resolution of technical challenges and design-related project risks.

  • Promoting digital engineering, BIM workflows and quality assurance processes.

  • Representing the design function in meetings with clients, authorities, consultants and project stakeholders.

  • Attending and leading design meetings, validating key decisions and ensuring the implementation of coordinated and practical design solutions.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Over 10 years of relevant design experience, including experience managing and coordinating design teams.

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager on large-scale infrastructure, building or mixed-use developments.

  • Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple design projects, teams and design packages simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and collaboration platforms, including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360 and related tools.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  •  Previous experience delivering major projects in the Middle East.

  • Advanced knowledge of BIM, digital engineering and integrated project delivery.

  • Experience coordinating multiple design disciplines and managing design interfaces.

  • Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and schedule integration.

  • Experience working with government and semi-government clients.

  • Experience with ELV systems and related design coordination will be beneficial.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, PE or equivalent are advantageous.
