About the role: We are continuing to strengthen our Operational Resilience capability and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to join our growing team. As an Operational Resilience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, maintaining and enhancing the Group's Operational Resilience Framework, ensuring the business can respond effectively to disruption while continuing to deliver important services to clients and stakeholders. Working across a complex financial services environment, you will identify and map critical business processes, assess operational and technology dependencies, and help drive resilience improvements across the organisation. You will partner with a broad range of stakeholders, including Technology, Operations, Cyber Security, Risk and key third-party suppliers, developing a deep understanding of our operational landscape and the external services that support it. Through robust analysis, risk assessment and resilience planning, you will provide pragmatic recommendations that strengthen our resilience posture and support compliance with UK and international regulatory requirements. What you'll be doing: Provide technical expertise to support the implementation and ongoing improvement of the Group’s Operational Resilience Framework. Facilitate and support business impact analysis, service mapping, dependency identification, and vulnerability evaluation activities throughout the Group. Support the development, coordination, and delivery of resilience testing and scenario exercises. This includes joint testing with third parties, identifying areas for improvement, and tracking remediation actions until they are complete. Provide technical mentorship and constructive challenge to business owners to strengthen resilience capabilities and ensure resilience risks are appropriately understood, managed, and brought up. Support oversight of material third parties through review of resilience arrangements, testing outcomes, and identified vulnerabilities. Support the identification and review of Important Business Services and Impact Tolerances, including identification of the priority processes supporting these. Produce and maintain high-quality resilience documentation, evidence, and management information suitable for audit, regulatory, and governance review. Provide technical knowledge to support operational resilience assurance efforts, annual self-assessments, and regulatory submissions. Support the preparation of resilience reporting for governance forums, committees, and Boards. Assist the Major Incident Response team in readiness for, and reaction to, incidents impacting or potentially impacting SJP. About you: You will be an experienced Operational Resilience professional with a proven track record of delivering resilience, governance, risk management, or business continuity outcomes within a regulated financial services environment. You bring both technical understanding and strong business acumen, enabling you to translate complex resilience requirements into practical, proportionate solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives. You are naturally collaborative and excel at building trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder landscape. Whether working with senior leaders, technical specialists, operational teams, or third-party providers, you have the confidence and credibility to influence, challenge constructively, and drive positive outcomes. You communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging way, helping others understand risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement. Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience in operational resilience. Proficiency in analysing business impact, mapping services, and assessing vulnerabilities. Solid technical expertise in resilience testing and scenario exercises. Capability to develop and preserve high-quality documentation and management information. Recognised professional accreditation in business continuity, operational resilience or a related discipline, preferably MBCI, or equivalent depth of professional experience. Desirable Criteria: Experience collaborating with external parties on resilience activities. Familiarity with regulatory filings concerning operational resilience. Experience with Major Incident Response protocols.
