Welcome to our team

The Boxmeer site is part of our international Animal Health network and produces and packages veterinary medicines for the global market. In the Bacteriological Production department, we are responsible for all activities necessary for the production of high-quality and safe antigens. These antigens are then used to create vaccines that improve the quality of life for animals all over the world. You will be working in a close-knit and dynamic team consisting of approximately 45 colleagues.

About the role

In our production department, we work with all the latest cultivation techniques available within the pharmaceutical industry. Everything from small-scale cultivation to single-use cultivation techniques on a large scale up to 1500L.

You will be working in a rapidly growing network where we are continuously faced with new challenges in improving our products and expanding the number of antigens we produce.

Tasks and include:

• Participating in every part of the process, from media preparation to cultivation, from downstream production to processing GMP documentation.
• Registering and following up on deviations from regulations, procedures, and/or SOPs, and in the event of malfunctions or deviations in the equipment used.
• Knowledge of all methodologies, processes, operations, and facets of product preparation.
• You are involved in transfers of existing and new products and optimizations, as well as the implementation of new equipment and methodologies within the department.
• You create, check, and correct SOPs, work instructions, and logbooks.
• There are multiple opportunities for self-development. Part of this is training in the use of Lean/Six-Sigma. Every employee is trained to Yellow Belt level. In addition to these trainings, a wide range of other training and personal development opportunities are available.

Your profile

• At least a completed MBO 3 education in the field of biotechnology, process technology, biology, process automation, or similar. A Vapro B education in combination with relevant work experience is also possible.
• Affinity with virology, bacteriology, microbiology, pharmaceutical techniques, process industry, and a willingness to follow training to learn these techniques.
• High quality and safety awareness.
• A desire to keep learning and developing.
• Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Experience working in cleanrooms and sterile environments is a plus.
• Flexibility to work periodic shifted hours (3 weeks of day shifts followed by 1 week of late shifts).

This role falls within the O-2 Mid scale.
