MEC Enterprise Advisor (x2 roles)

The Masood Centre (MEC) is The University of Manchester's focal point for student , enterprise education and early-stage venture support. As one of the UK's leading centres for applied education, we support students, graduates and early-career researchers from all disciplines to develop entrepreneurial skills, explore new ideas and create ventures with economic and social impact.

We are seeking two Enterprise Advisors to join our team and help deliver a wide range of enterprise and activities across the University.

These are varied and rewarding roles that combine programme coordination, event delivery, participant support, communications and administration. You will play an important role in supporting students, graduates and researchers as they engage with entrepreneurial opportunities, develop new ideas and progress through MEC's founder support pathways.

Working closely with colleagues across MEC, you will help coordinate workshops, bootcamps, competitions, networking events, mentoring activity and other founder support initiatives. You will support day-to-day programme delivery, maintain accurate records and monitoring data, contribute to marketing and communications activity, and help ensure an excellent experience for participants

Our work supports the full entrepreneurial journey, from early inspiration through to venture launch and growth, across pathways including freelancing, social impact, researcher enterprise and start-up support. This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, helping individuals turn ideas into viable ventures, self-employment opportunities and research outcomes.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly organised individuals who enjoy working with a wide range of people and are passionate about supporting enterprise and . You will be a strong communicator, comfortable managing competing priorities, and committed to delivering high-quality support and service. The role would suit candidates with experience of programme administration, event coordination, student engagement, enterprise support or similar activities.

As a core part of Unit M, the University's dedicated innovation arm, MEC contributes to a wider innovation ecosystem designed to unlock the University's potential as a major regional innovation asset. Through our programmes, competitions, mentoring and venture support activities, we help equip the next generation of innovators with the skills, confidence and networks needed to create meaningful impact.

There will be a single application process for both Enterprise Advisor roles.

Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 12th October.
