Banking Advisor – Atruvia / Core Banking (Freelance)
Location: Germany (remote/hybrid, occasional travel)
Sector: PropTech / Banking-as-a-Service
Contract: Freelance, Phase 1 (technical due diligence) 4–6 weeks, 1–2 days/week (up to 2–3 at peak); potential follow-on Phase 2 execution engagement
About the Client
Our client is a fast-growing, Sweden-headquartered PropTech company with an established German subsidiary in property management. The company is building a white-label banking-as-a-service proposition for the German market, integrating its ERP directly with a banking partner's systems to open and close accounts, execute transactions, and manage deposits on behalf of its customers.
The Role
The client is seeking an experienced, German-speaking Banking Advisor with hands-on expertise in Atruvia, the core banking platform used across Germany's Sparkassen and cooperative banking sector, to support the assessment and build-out of a long-term banking partnership.
You will sit alongside the client's core leadership team (CPO/CTO level) as the banking and core-systems specialist, while technical depth in cybersecurity, infrastructure and architecture is covered in-house.
Phase 1 — Technical Due Diligence (4–6 weeks):
- Assess the “art of the possible” on Atruvia: capabilities, limitations and integration complexity
- Develop a 3–5 year roadmap from basic to complex integration
- Identify common pitfalls, potential for an AI layer, and feasibility of cross-market expansion
- Support scoping workstreams and input into information requests
Phase 2 — Execution / Build-out (scope TBD):
- Likely follow-on engagement supporting the practical build-out of the banking partnership, subject to Phase 1 outcomes and budget approval
What You Bring
- Hands-on, practitioner-level experience with Atruvia (core banking platform for Sparkassen/cooperative banks)
- A transformation background, combining strategic advisory and hands-on execution experience
- Comfort operating at CPO/CTO level with a lean, fast-moving leadership team
- Fluent German (essential); strong English also valuable
- Availability to start within approximately 2 weeks
Engagement Details
- Flexible contract structure: timesheet/hourly or day-rate, no mandatory minimum commitment
- Billed and paid via PCN, invoiced monthly to the client
