Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Participate in the payroll cycle processing and ensure its accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines;
• Contribute to the preparation and production of government filings (T4, Relevé 1, CNESST, etc.);
• Participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of payroll-related projects and processes;
• Respond to employee questions and requests regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and other related topics;
• Collaborate on the preparation of internal and external audit files;
• Stay informed about legislative and tax changes related to payroll;
• Perform any other related tasks in connection with department activities.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

• College diploma (DEC) in finance, accounting, or a related field;
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) (an asset);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar payroll position, ideally in a medium or large company environment;
• High level of rigor and attention to detail;
• Excellent organizational and priority management skills;
• High sense of ethics, confidentiality, and integrity;
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team;
• Strong internal customer service skills;
• Bilingual in French and English, both oral and written;
• Very good command of Excel (tables, formulas, analysis);
• Experience with Nethris or an equivalent payroll system;
• Excellent knowledge of Quebec and Canadian tax and legislative standards regarding payroll.
