THE ROLE

At the British Business Bank, you will play an important role in helping smaller businesses across the UK access the finance they need to start, grow and thrive.

As a Structurer within our Structured Non-Bank Guarantees team, you will support the origination, assessment, structuring and execution of guarantee transactions across a range of structured finance solutions, including securitisation and secured revolving credit facilities, helping non-bank finance providers increase lending to smaller businesses. The team works with lenders and specialist finance providers to address funding and risk constraints that may otherwise limit their ability to support SMEs. Transactions span a range of loan, asset finance and debt receivable portfolios and may involve different positions within the capital structure.

Working alongside colleagues across the Bank, you will analyse transaction proposals, undertake financial and credit analysis, build and review transaction models, and help shape structuring recommendations. You will prepare transaction documentation and credit applications, support due diligence and operational reviews, and work closely with delivery partners to gather information and develop solutions. You will also contribute to product development initiatives, support strategic projects and share knowledge with colleagues across the organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders, including delivery partners and colleagues across legal, risk, policy, finance, strategy and relationship management. You will be encouraged to bring fresh perspectives, contribute new ideas and support the continuous development of our products and processes.

To be successful, you will have experience in structuring, investing or credit analysis within securitisation, asset-backed finance, speciality finance or similar capital markets products. You will be comfortable analysing complex information, developing financial models and communicating your insights clearly to a variety of audiences.

In return, you will join a supportive and collaborative environment where learning, knowledge sharing and professional development are encouraged. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the UK's smaller business finance market while working with knowledgeable colleagues who are committed to delivering positive outcomes for customers and partners.
