Overview
Within the Chief Audit Officer Area, you will support the Audit Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation & Training team in the development, adoption, and deployment of artificial intelligence, generative AI, and digital innovation solutions to support internal audit activities.
What your activities will be
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and support the team in the following activities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of AI-based solutions and prototypes for audit use cases
- Support the development of AI agents and Copilot-based solutions to automate, assist, or enhance audit activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify audit processes that can benefit from automation, agentic workflows, and generative AI capabilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to support audit controls, risk analysis, and decision-making processes
- Develop machine learning, data analytics, and AI engineering components to be integrated into digital audit solutions
- Support ML/AI engineering activities, including model integration into application flows, preparation of technical environments, and collaboration on the deployment of AI solutions
- Contribute to monitoring the metrics of AI solutions in operation, with reference to fairness, performance, accuracy, stability, output quality, and adoption/usage indicators
- Support the definition of prompts, knowledge sources, workflows, and validation criteria for AI agents
- Document the developed solutions, technical choices, limitations, monitored metrics, and operational guidelines
- Participate in innovative projects that apply traditional AI, generative AI, and agent-based approaches to the transformation of internal controls and audit
Who we are looking for
If you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics with a quantitative focus
- Basic knowledge of Python or other programming languages
- Familiarity with data analysis libraries such as pandas, numpy, or similar tools
- Understanding and knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and data visualization concepts
- Introductory knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques
- Familiarity with managing structured and unstructured data
- Interest in generative artificial intelligence, Large Language Models, and prompt engineering
- Basic knowledge of AI agent design, agentic workflows, and automation concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, or Copilot Studio will be considered an additional plus
- Curiosity or basic exposure to pipelines based on Large Language Models, orchestration of AI components, context engineering, knowledge grounding, and basic API/integration concepts
- General knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI concepts, preferably acquired through university courses, academic projects, thesis work, or individual learning paths
- Basic understanding of or interest in the AI agent lifecycle: use case identification, design, testing, monitoring, and documentation
