Overview

Within the Compliance area, you will join the Financial Sanctions Advisory and Clearing Office of the Group AFC Advisory, Clearing & Processes Department. You will be responsible for providing opinions on the Group's transactional, commercial, and financial operations with regard to embargoes, international sanctions, and restrictive measures. You will also collaborate on clearing activities, regulatory consulting, and monitoring of European Union, United States, and United Kingdom regulations.

What you will do

  • Draft opinions on the Group's transactional, commercial, and financial operations involving countries, product sectors, goods, services, or subjects subject to sanction regimes and restrictive measures.
  • Carry out clearing activities regarding international sanctions with reference to innovative projects, new products, and new services.
  • Provide consulting on international sanctions regulations to the commercial network and internal Group structures.
  • Monitor European Union, United States, and United Kingdom regulations applicable to international sanctions.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory developments on the Group's operations, identifying relevant elements for managing non-compliance risks.
  • Collaborate on further activities of the Financial Sanctions Advisory and Clearing Office, contributing to the correct application of sector regulations.

Who we are looking for

If you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:

  • Master's degree in legal or economic disciplines;
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations on embargoes, international sanctions, and restrictive measures;
  • Knowledge of the main banking products and services;
  • Proficiency in the main IT systems;
  • English language: minimum level B2 according to the CEFR scale, written and spoken;
  • 3-5 years of experience, of which at least 2 years at international financial groups, consulting firms, or law firms, in roles related to embargoes and international sanctions;
  • Knowledge of the European Union, United States, and United Kingdom regulatory frameworks applicable to international sanctions;
