About This Role:

As a (Senior) Analyst, EU VAT & Accounting, you will be part of the VAT Center of Excellence Team, supporting VAT compliance activities for Biogen entities registered across multiple European countries. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and gathering information from system-generated reports to support VAT reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely VAT filings while maintaining a high standard of documentation and compliance.

What You'll Do

As a member of the VAT Center of Excellence team, you will:

  • Prepare and support the submission of VAT returns across European jurisdictions.
  • Prepare EC Listings and ensure accurate reporting of intra-community transactions.
  • Prepare Intrastat reports in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Perform month-end VAT reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain VAT documentation folders, ensuring that all supporting documents are appropriately saved, organized, and signed.
  • Support additional VAT compliance activities and special projects as required.
  • Work closely with accounting, tax, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with VAT regulations and internal controls.

You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong interest in indirect tax and compliance. You thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and enjoy working with complex processes and data. You are proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You value collaboration but are equally comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your .

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in international accounting, finance operations, or VAT compliance.

  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance processes; Oracle experience is considered an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all organizational levels.

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently, responsibly, and with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Accountability and ownership of work performed.

  • Ability to understand and navigate complex workflows and business processes.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Fluent English required; German language skills are considered an asset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a shared services, corporate tax, or finance environment.
  • Exposure to European VAT reporting requirements, including EC Listings and Intrastat reporting.
  • Experience working within multinational organizations and cross-functional teams.

The base compensation range for this role is: zł140,000.00-zł187,250.00
