THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Supply Analytics team at Zalando Lounge, you will work alongside the Supply team and leadership toward our vision of acquiring unmatched value-for-money deals that drive Lounge user acquisition, conversion, and retention.

In this role, you will build on your analytical and statistical skills to generate actionable business insights that enable smarter decision-making. You will lead and implement initiatives to develop sustainable reporting solutions and create fact-based insights regarding our partner (supplier) lifecycle and pricing dynamics, from both quantity and quality perspectives. You will actively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders by sharing relevant context based on the key performance indicators (KPIs) you track, analyze, and embed across the business. To succeed in this role, you should possess a naturally analytical mindset and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• **Operationalize Business Reporting:**Develop a deep understanding of our business processes, tools, and overall data landscape to build, implement, and operationalize reporting focused on Partner insights and Pricing capabilities for Zalando Lounge (connecting inventory, sales, supply, planning, and steering).

• **Drive Analytical Insights:**Formulate and test hypotheses using descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative analyses to generate impactful business insights while identifying emerging risks and strategic opportunities.

• **Engage Senior Stakeholders:**Present complex analytical findings and recommendations to senior internal stakeholders in a visually compelling, easily digestible manner (using Tableau or Databricks) to advance our collective intelligence.

• **Deliver End-to-End Analytics:**Take full accountability for all stages of data analysis, research, and data visualization using narrative storytelling, while leading high-impact Data & Analytics projects and initiatives.

• **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**Partner with technology and data teams across Zalando to maximize the utility of existing datasets and ensure optimal access to high-value data points.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• **Technical Expertise:**You are a highly proficient user of Tableau and Databricks, with strong SQL skills (Python is a plus). You work autonomously with these tools and can effectively guide others in using them.

• **Proven Impact & Domain Knowledge:**You have led initiatives or projects that enabled businesses to make high-impact decisions through your insights or developed solutions. Domain expertise in inventory management or the planning and steering of sales and supply is a strong plus.

• **Education & Experience:**You hold a degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics, or a similar quantitative field, paired with 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role (ideally in a fast-paced e-commerce or retail environment). Knowledge of statistical methods is a plus.

• **Mindset & Adaptability:**Collaborators value your drive to make an impact, your ability to spot inefficiencies with a hands-on approach, and your knack for finding simple, efficient solutions to complex challenges. You are proactive and adapt quickly to change while remaining focused on key objectives.

• **Stakeholder Collaboration:**You balance technical acumen with business understanding, excelling at collaborating with commercial stakeholders to generate actionable insights.

• Communication & Storytelling: You possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, creating engaging narratives around the results of your analyses.
